Demasting - Releasing Rigging

  1. Maintain the viability of the boat.
  2. Attend to any crew injuries.
  3. Secure the mast and rigging to the boat by the best means possible.
  4. Ensure all lines and rigging material are out of the water before starting the engine.
  5. Remove the sails where possible.
  6. Remove clevis pins where possible.
  7. Cut rigging where clevis pin removal is not possible.
