Fuel line connected.</li>\n<li>Open fuel vent if necessary, pump bulb firm.</li>\n<li>Connect battery.</li>\n<li>Connect key/kill switch.</li>\n<li>Transmission in neutral to start.</li>\n<li>Throttle all the down in start position.</li>\n<li>Start engine by pushing the green button on the motor for a few seconds. Release once engine starts.</li>\n<li>If the engine doesn’t start from battery power it can be pull started using the cord and handle. Please report electric start failure to boat todo list.</li>\n<li>Remain attached to mooring point until outboard has been running for 15 seconds or more.</li>\n<li>Check cooling water exits side of engine and that red indicator light goes out.</li>\n<li>Place kill cord around wrist.</li>\n<li>Disconnect painter.</li>\n<li>Lights and radio should automatically turn on about 30 seconds after engine is started.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Daily</h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Be sure painter is securely tied at all times when dinghy is not in use.</li>\n<li>Raise dinghy on davits every night and before starting engine.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Passage Prep</h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Fuel vent is closed and fuel tank stowed in cabin top wedge.</li>\n<li>Secure the outboard motor on rail.</li>\n<li>Secure dinghy to foredeck.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Electrical</h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Anderson Powerpole Connectors for engine to battery.</li>\n<li>6 circuit fuse block.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Fuse Block</h3>\n<ol>\n<li>6A: VHF Radio</li>\n<li>5A: Chart Plotter</li>\n<li>3A: N2K / AIS &#x26; Splitter</li>\n<li>2A: Lights</li>\n</ol>","headings":[{"value":"Dinghy Checks & Procedures"}]}},"pageContext":{"slug":"/procedures/dinghy/","previous":{"fields":{"slug":"/procedures/garbage/"}},"next":{"fields":{"slug":"/procedures/arrival/"}}}}}
